Media Relations / Coaching
For those who have been on the other side of the mic from “60 Minutes” or who fear that day might come, the thought of working WITH the media may intimidate. But if you step back from the precipice for a moment, you see that all the elements of good customer and client relations hold true in building good press relations: trust, providing a good product (i.e. credible information) and providing it on time.
It also involves knowing what to say--about your products, projects, community actions, R&D or business strategy. I have helped clients identify what is newsworthy, and tell their story on local, national and international news platforms and can help you do the same—and become a valuable media resource.

In every organization—old and new, large and small—there are certain key people who are the drivers of change and growth. Their ideas—about management style, community contributions and philanthropy, industry and product progress and innovation—have value.

Crisis Communications
Not every corporate crisis is a national headline-grabber. A local layoff, product recall, bad corporate or executive behavior, or an unhappy client taking to X: all can happen without notice; all demand an intelligent response. I know the value of an honest, up-front approach in diffusing crises and will work with you to assemble a response team, craft your initial message and see you through the event.
And since fallout from a crisis can affect employees, customers and shareholders alike for years, it pays to subscribe to the Girl Scout motto, “Be prepared.” And don’t panic. I’m a strong advocate for crisis communications planning and will work with you to create procedures to make finding, and getting, the right information to the right people, under duress, as smooth as possible.

If you have no PR/marketing staff or agency, but DO have a critical meeting, trade show, important management, product or news announcement coming up, Pagano & Co. will be your interim PR executive.
